Age 15, good home, employed at farm chores, excellent health, attends Roman Catholic Church regularly, does not attend school,
character good, terms-board and clothing. McCarthy is a bright boy. He finds his work agreeable and states that it is not too hard for him. He is treated kindly by Mr St Denis and the family, and states that he finds it a good home here. He is well supplied with clothing. He was originally with a Mr Catundal, Napierville Co, but he left, as he states, because he was not well treated. Mr St Denis is very comfortable, and, I should judge, an industrious farmer. He speaks well of McCarthy, says that he is quite satisfactory to him
