In 1887, Catherine Redmond, 8 (along with brother, John Redmond, 12), arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 96 children from Catholic Children Protection Society, Liverpool, England, accompanied by Mrs. Margaret Lacy, and en route to Hotel Dieu, Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

"Copy of Reports of Inspection of Pauper Children sent out to Canada made by Immigration Officers of the Dominion Government and received from the Colonial Office on the 12th December 1888.

Report of Mr. R. Mcpherson, Government Immigration Agent at Kingston.

Catherine Redmond, aged 10. From West Derby Union. Placed with Patrick Burns, corner of Rideau and Cataraqui Sts., City of Kingston.?Good girl, no fault, attends school, in 2nd reader, and pleased with her home."

On August 26, 1916, at Toronto, York, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between Catherine Ann Redmond, 34, domestic, born in Liverpool, England, to William John Redmond and Katherine Weeks; and Daniel Thatcher, 42, widower, Pte. O.H.M.S., born in Seisdon, Wolverhampton, England, to Daniel Thatcher and Elizabeth Brooks.

Catherine Ann Redmond Thatcher died in 1942 in Rowley Regis, Staffordshire, England. Daniel George Thatcher died in 1952 in Rowley Regis, Staffordshire, England.
