Notes In 1887, Walter E. Rudge, 15, arrived in Canada in a group of 28 Middlemore children accompanied by Mr. John T. Middlemore and en route to the Guthrie Home, London, Ontario, Canada.

Walter Rudge, aged 15. From Stourbridge Union. Placed with Abel Walper, Tp. Hay, Exeter P.O., Ontario.?A good, strong, healthy boy, aged 16 next birthday. Engaged for one year, 40 dollars, board and lodging. He is a tailor by trade. Suits Mr. Walpole very well, and the boy likes his place."
