NotesIn 1898, Nellie Rudge, 5 (along with her sister, Kitty Rudge, 6), arrived at Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, with a group of 120 children accompanied by Mr. Middlemore.

Nellie served in the Army Nurse Corps during World War I.

On June 5, 1918, Nellie D. Rudge, residing in Brewer, Maine, USA, was a witness to the marriage of her sister Kathryn (Kitty) Rudge and Murray Clowes Gray in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada.

Nellie Rudge married Charles Henry Otto Behlke about 1920, probably in the United States. They had four children: William Franklin Behlke, born November 27, 1922 in Anchorage, Alaska; Charles O. Behlke, born 1921; Richard "Dick" Frederick Behlke born July 26, 1927, in Denton, Caroline County, Maryland; and Mary Patricia Behlke, born October 31, 1931 in Denton, Caroline County, Maryland.

Ellen "Nellie" Dorice Rudge Behlke died on February 24, 1989, in Denton, Caroline, Maryland at the age of 96. Her husband, Charles Behlke died on June 4, 1970. They are both buried in Denton, Caroline, Maryland, USA.
