NotesErnest was one of 23 children aged 8 to 13 who arrived in Fremantle, Western Australia from Southampton aboard 'Jervis Bay' in February 1934, bound for Fairbridge Farm School, Pinjarra. He was 12 years old.

Ernest was one of 4 sons; his mother Mabel died in 1926 aged 28 (Wimborne, Dorset).

He served as a Leading Aircraftman in the Royal Australian Air Force in WWII (Source: NAA RecordSearch):

Ernest had a son with Vera Doreen LUXON in Plymouth in 1944.

He died in 2005 aged 84 and his wife Doris died 12 June 2011 aged 86.
