NotesThe following records have been discerned for Lance Corporal William Ernest James Stanning. Listed on Barnardo Homes's 'Faithful Until Death' report in 1920. Perry Snow suggests a 1906 immigration date with his sisters aboard the Dominion in 1906, but the UK records don't list him and the Canadian records are completely illegible. His 1911 Census claims he arrived in 1903.

1891 English Census records for Sarah and George Stanning place them in Kensington, London, England. The pair have children Emily (3) and John (3 months). George is a bricklayer by trade.
