In 1906, Kate Stanning, 9 (along with her sister, Lucy Stanning, 11) arrived at Quebec, Canada, with a group of 379 Barnardo children en route to Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

In 1911, Kate Stanning, 13, is shown as a domestic to William and Susannah Huck of Cavan, Durham, Ontario, Canada. Her date of birth is shown as September, 1897, and her immigration year as 1909.

On February 4, 1922, at Holy Family Church, Toronto, York, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between Katherine Ellen Stanning, 22, weaver, born in England to John Stanning and Catherine Ellen Vann; and William Henry Forde, 25, conductor, born in Ontario, Canada, to Henry Forde and Mary Craig.

Kate Ellen Stanning Forde died in 1984 in Haldimand Township, Northumberland county, Ontario - having apparently lived there from the 1920's. She is buried in St Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery along with William Henry Forde who died in 1986, and a daughter Bernice E. Forde who lived 1924-1929.
