NotesIn 1883, Elizabeth Ware, 6, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 126 children en route to various destinations.

"Sixteenth Annual Report of the Local Government Board, 1886-87; Copy of Reports of Inspection of Children sent out to Canada, as of February 12, 1887.

Report of Mr. J. A. Donaldson, Government Immigration Agent, at Toronto, Ontario.

Elizabeth Ware, aged 13, from West Derby Union, placed with John Wason, Warsaw P.O. This girl was first placed with Mr. John Turner, of Port Hope, as adopted daughter, by whom she was kept two years, when she was returned to the home as unsuitable. She was afterwards placed with Rev. J. Farncoinbe, Lakefield P.O. After remaining about a year and not being well spoken of, was transferred about a month ago to John Wason, of Warsaw. She has a good home and attends school; is very well liked, there being no faults to find with her so far."
