NotesIn 1887, Zilla Warner, 9 (along with sister, Minnie Warner, 12), arrived in Canada in a group of 28 Middlemore children accompanied by Mr. John T. Middlemore and en route to the Guthrie Home, London, Ontario, Canada.

"Copy of Reports of Inspection of Pauper Children sent out to Canada made by Immigration Officers of the Dominion Government and received from the Colonial Office on the 12th December 1888.

Report of Mr. John Smith, Government Immigration Agent, at Hamilton.

Zilla Warner, aged 10. From Bradfield Union. Placed with James Robb, Lot. 6, Con. ?, Tp. Delaware, Delaware P.O.?Mrs. Robb likes the child very well ; took her to bring up ; goes to school and Sunday school; quite healthy; child content and happy; a fair farm home."

Zilla adopted the name Lillie or Lilly by 1891 and gave her birthdate as March 14, 1879, with her birthplace as Reading, Berkshire, England.

On December 28, 1898, she married David William Fairbarn in Lockport, Niagara, New York, USA. The couple had at least 3 children: Jessie Isabell Fairbarn, born September 27, 1899, died October 6, 1901; Bessiemae Fairbarn, born August 8, 1902, in Lockport, New York, USA; and
Minnie Warner Fairbarn, born July 17, 1904; died February 11, 1966.

Lillie Zillah Warner Fairbarn died on October 29, 1919, at the age of 40, in New York, USA. She is buried at Glenwood Cemetery, Lockport, New York, USA. David William Fairbarn died on March 14, 1932, at the age of 61, in Lockport, New York, USA.
