Notes Gustav was Theo. Fiedler's older half-brother. Stuttgart Archives show him emigrating to the USA in 1866, aged 16: however, by 1871, he was in Bradford, working as a pork butcher, possibly with, or for, his older half-brother, Friedrich Beyer. He married Elizabeth Gorner in Bradford Cathedral in 1872 and they had three surviving children: Lisette Caroline, b. 1877; Anna Emilie, b. 1879 and Robert, b. 1881. The family seems to have divided its time between Bradford and Newcastle and Gustav died in Newcastle, aged 34, in 1884, of tuberculosis.
All three children married - Anna's spouse is unknown, but Lisette married John William Wilkinson. She died in 1966. Robert married Sarah Elizabeth Wade, known as Sally and lived at 28, Beverley Street, Bradford. He served in WW1, under his mother's maiden name, Gorner. The couple had five children, two of whom died young. The three who survived were: Ernest Gustav, 1904-67. He married Agnes Nutter in 1929; Vera, 1911-1996. She married Robert C. Robinson, known as Fred, and Cyril, 1915-1998, who married Ivy Thompson. ( Information from Hugh Robinson on Ancestry.co.uk )
