In 1892 Robert went to Illinois, USA with children with plan for Margaretha to join him. She had been very ill and her two sons from first marriage stayed behind. She died suddenly however and was buried at Mexborough. Report in South Yorkshire Times 23 June 1893 THE LATE MRS WALLIS OF MEXBOROUGH.
