Naturalisation papers give Karl's name as Karl Simon BUCK with parents Simon STEHL and Caroline BUCK, Simon of french nationality and Caroline of german nationality, also Karl's birthplace as Paris. This information conflicts with information on Karl's marriage certificate where his father is named as Karl Buck and all census info gives his birthplace Germany.
Involved in a court case at the Old Bailey with Karolina - trial of Henry BRYANT (oldbaileyonline.org)
Returned to Germany in 1909. His British citizenship was revoked in 1925 (London Gazette).
