Notes In 1904, J. M. Blair, 10, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 479 Barnardo children en route to Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
In 1904, John and his younger brother, Robert Blair were placed in a Barnardo home in England from their home in Belfast, Ireland. Three months later, John was sent to Canada and placed in Chatham, Ontario, Canada. In 1913, he moved to Saskatchewan. After a brief time in Windthorst, he made Eastend his home. Eastend had not yet been established as a town. That was to come the following year.
