In 1887, Rebecca Machin, 11, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 18 Maria Rye children en route to Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada, via Suspension Bridge.

On September 5, 1908, at East Oxford Township, Oxford, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between Rebecca Machin, 30, daughter of Charles and Henrietta Machin; and Uriah Wesley Christie, 33, dominion land surveyor, son of Robert Christie and Elizabeth Curtis.
Rebecca Machine Christie died at the age of 86 in 1962. Uriah Wesley Christie died on March 10, 1932, at the age of 59, of pneumonia, at Orangeville, Ontario, Canada.
