In 1902, Kate Anson, 13, arrived at Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, along with a group of 117 children en route to the Middlemore Home in Halifax.

On April 22, 1909, at 36 St. James Street, St. James, Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, Kate Anson gave birth to an illegitimate son named Walter Hayward Anson. Nurse Edith M. Prince signed the certificate. (Provincial Archives of New Brunswick: Number: 1090; Code: A5/1909; Microfilm: F22863)
