On May 19 1922, Emma Florence Deeming, 14, arrived in Canada, she intended to work as a domestic, her passage was paid by Dr Barnardo Homes, she was going to Dr Barnardo Home, Hazel Brae, Peterborough, she gave her next of kin as her father-Ernest Deeming, 58 The Crescent, Willenhall, Staffordshire

On April 24 1926, Emma Florence Deeming, 19, born London, England, daughter of Ernest Deeming and Emma Taylor, married Samuel Edward Carl, 23, in St Catherine's, Lincoln, Ontario

a photo was printed in Dr Barnardo's Ups and Downs May 1927 edition of Emma F Deeming now Mrs Edward Carl with 3 months old son
