In 1909, Charles Cleaver, 12 (along with his brothers, Thomas Cleaver, 10, and Herbert Cleaver, 9) arrived at Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, with a group of 130 children en route to various destinations in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.
