NotesOn July 26 1923, Edward Chrymes, 15, arrived in Canada on SS Minnedosa, he stated he would go into farming in Canada, he was born in Cheshire, his passage was paid by Dr Barnardo Homes, destination was Mr John W Hobday, 50-52 Peter St, Toronto, his next of kin was Dr Barnardo Homes, 18/26 Stepney Causeway, London

On September 16 1927, Edward Chrymes, 19, labourer, arrived back in England on SS Megantic, heading to 17 Nelson St, Birkenhead

In 1933, Edward Chrymes married Molly F Kennedy in Portsmouth,

Edward Chrymes served in the Royal Navy during WW2 and was awarded the RN Long Service and Good Conduct Medal on 8 January 1943. Ship name given as HMS Battler

His wife Mollie predeceased him by a few months as she died earlier in 1951
