Francis Ambrose Daw, Sr., died at Childs Hill, Hendon, Middlesex, England, on March 17, 1902. Susan Tew Daw died at Childs Hill, Hendon, Middlesex, England, on January 29, 1903.

In 1906, Alfred Daw, 9 (along with siblings Henry [Harry Oliver] Daw, 7, and Francis Ambrose Daw, 10) arrived at Portland, Maine, USA, with a group of 188 children en route to Toronto, Canada.

He was described as 5 foot 5 inches in height; dark complexion; brown eyes; black hair. He was a member of the Methodist faith.

Private Alfred Daw died on November 10, 1917, in France. He is buried at Belgium in PASSCHENDALE NEW BRITISH CEMETERY, Belgium (Grave Reference: VII. B. 28.)
