NotesLouisa Powell was born to Louisa Sarah Powell on April 16, 1874, in Shoreditch, Middlesex, England. Information on her father is unknown.

In 1878, her mother married Thomas Carpenter. After her death in April, 1889, Louisa lived with her Aunt, Harriet Barnard. When her aunt could no longer care for her, she was sent to the City Mission in London. In October of that same year, she was placed in the care of the Annie MacPherson Home.

In June, 1890, Louisa, along with a group of other children in the MacPherson party, boarded the SS Parisian for Quebec. Her final destination was the MacPherson Home in Stratford, Ontario.

A short time after her arrival, she was hired as a Domestic by the Rev. T.R. Davis, Rector of St. George Church in Sarnia, Ontario. She remained in his household until October of 1892.

On March 31, 1894, Louisa married William John Harker in Sarnia. They had 4 children: Fred, Kathrin, Harold and George. A 5th child, Winifred Pearl Harker was born February 8, 1913, and died February 10, 1913.

After William's death in 1917, Louisa married Leonard Causley.

Louisa Powell Harker Causley died on March 2, 1966, and is buried in Lakeview Cemetery in Sarnia.
