A death registration was found for William Kerr, baker (journeyman), married to Mary Reid: Date: July 11, 1904, 5:40 AM; Place: 7 New Street, Paisley, Renfreswshire, Scotland; Parents: William Kerr, railway surfaceman and Janet Blair (both deceased); Cause: Heart Disease.

A death registration was found for Mary Kerr, widow of William Kerr, baker (journeyman): Date: October 7, 1907, 8:10 pm; Place: Royal Infirmary, 767 Cumbernould Road, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland; Parents: William Reid, mason and Mary McBride (both deceased); Cause: Cirrhotic Kidney, Venous Thrombosis, Gangrene of Lung. This was reported by her son, John Kerr.

In 1910, Andrew Kerr, 13, arrived at Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, in a group of 100 Scottish children from Quarrier's Orphan Homes of Scotland and en route to Brockville, Ontario, Canada.

On September 10, 1915, at Brockville, Ontario, Canada, Andrew Reid Kerr, 18, enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces. He declared that he was born in Glasgow, Scotland; that his next of kin was his sister, Mrs. John Rankin, who resided in Westport, Ontario; that his date of birth was was February 7, 1897; that he was a farmer; and that he was not married. He was described as 5 foot 5-1/2 inches in height; fair complexion; light blue eyes; medium brown hair. He had a large brown birthmark on left jaw, 2" across; and a small scar at the base of his first finger on the left hand. He was a member of the Methodist faith.

On February 5, 1916, at Brockville, Ontario, Canada, Andrew Reid Kerr, 19, once again enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces. He declared that he resided in Westport, Ontario, Canada; that he was born in Glasgow, Scotland; that his next of kin was his sister, Mrs. Jessie Rankin, who resided in Westport, Ontario; that his deate of birth was was February 7, 1897; that he was a farmer; and that he was not married. He was described as 5 foot 4 inches in height; fair complexion; blue eyes; brown hair. He had a quadilateral brownish birthmark on his left jaw. He was a member of the Methodist faith.

On October 3, 1916, at Westport, Leeds, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between Andrew Reid Kerr, 20, private 156th Battalion, born in Glasgow, Scotland to William Kerr and Mary Reid; and Chrissy Robin, 22, nurse maid, born in Glasgow, Scotland, to Charles Mackenzie Robin and Christina Gibson.

On December 22, 1950, Andrew Reid Kerr, 54, manager, returned FIRST CLASS to Scotland on the ship Ascania. He declared that his intended address in Scotland was 4 Lynedoch Place, Glasgow, Scotland.

In the Athen's museum, it is noted

"George Douglas Kerr - Born Sept 10, 1900 to William Kerr and Mary McBride Kerr in Scotland. His brother Andrew was born Feb 7, 1897. Both parents died by 1907 and the family was not able to keep them. They were sent to the Bridge of Wier in 1910 and they came to Canada on April 2 1910. Andrew settled in Westport and married Chrissy Robin. George married Lilly Morris. His children were Bob and Glenna (Morris). Bob was the Athen's Fire Chief for many years. George's immigration trunk has been loaned for the Athens Home Boys Display."
