NotesA birth registration was found for Walter Michie Anderson: Date: November 5, 1896, at 12:30 a.m.; Place: 3 Brownplace, Underwood Road, Paisley, Scotland; Parents: John Anderson, Dyer-Journeyman and Isabella Wilson, married December 31, 1879, at Cardross, Scotland.

In 1910, Walter Anderson, 13, arrived at Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, in a group of 100 Quarrier children en route to Brockville, Ontario, Canada.

On December 23, 1915, at Brockville, Leeds, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between Walter Michie Anderson, labourer, born in Paisley, Scotland, to John Anderson and Isabelle Taylor; and another Quarrier child, Aitken Henritta Black, born Glasgow, Scotland, to John Black and Isabelle Walker.

Walter Michie Anderson joined the 156th Canadian Infantry Battalion on December 28, 1915 (number 639167). He transferred to the 3rd Labour Battalion on February 9, 1917 - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion in France on August 22, 1917. Walter was wounded on September 1, 1918, and invalided to England on September 10, 1918.

In 1922, Walter Michie Anderson petitioned, and was granted, of the Senate of Canada a divorce from Aiken Henrietta Anderson, housemaid.
