Their brother, William Kinghorn, 10 years of age, was residing with his grandmother, Ann Mathers, 63, domestic servant, at High Street, Strichen, Aberdeenshire, England. Sisters, Margaret Kinghorn, 7 years of age, and Ann Kinghorn, 2 years of age, were shown as inmates in Leith Poorhouse, 172 Great Junction St, Leith, Midlothian, Scotland. In 1910, Allan Kinghorn, 14, arrived in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, along with a group of 100 children en route to Brockville, Ontario, Canada. (Brothers, Peter Kinghorn, 13, and William Kinghorn, 14, had arrived on the Corinthian in 1905; sister Maggie Kinghorn, 14, arrived on the Ionian in 1908; and sister, Annie Kinghorn, 10, arrived on the Grampian in 1909.)

He had distinguishing marks of three vaccination scars on his left arm.

In 1930, Allan Kinghorn, 34, loader / lumber company, was residing at 6721 Sangar, Detroit, Wayne, Michigan, United States. Other family members included: Helen Kinghorn, 26 (born in Scotland); Margaret Kinghorn, 8 (born in Canada); Jessie Kinghorn, 6 (born in Canada); William Kinghorn, 3 (born in Canada); Donald Kinghorn, 2 (born in the United States). Allan stated that he had been married at the age of 23 and his wife at the age of 16. The family immigrated to the United States in 1927/1928.
