Feb 20 1900

with J Spurgeon Jones, farmer, P.O Round Hill, Kings, NB

Age 16, good comfortable home, employed at farm work, good health, attends Methodist church, does not attend school, is a fair scholar, character-good but requires to be kept under restraint. Terms-Board, Lodging and Clothes at present. Mrs Jones states that Britton gives them satisfaction and they have no complaints to make with reference to him. Britton is quite a rugged lad. He likes his home and work, and is treated kindly. He corresponds with his father regularly.

August 11 1902, with Thomas Bacon, Miller, Round Hill, Kings, NB

Age 17, this youth is still in the employ of Mr Baker and is earning $10 per month and his living. He is a steady. reliable young fellow and is given a splendid character by his employer. I believe he will do well. He is now doing for himself, and in my opinion is quite
capable of taking care of himself
