NotesParents: John Parle and Mary Taylor, married 1871 in West Derby, Lancashire, England.

In 1887, Margaret Parle, 7, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 129 children from Catholic Children Protection Society, Liverpool, England, accompanied by Mrs. Margaret Lacy, and en route to Hotel Dieu, Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

"Copy of Reports of Inspection of Pauper Children sent out to Canada made by Immigration Officers of the Dominion Government and received from the Colonial Office on the 12th December 1888.

Report of Mr. W. J. Wills, Government Immigration Agent at Ottawa.

Margaret Tabb (? Parle), aged 7. From Birkenhead Union. Placed with Mr. Same, Montague, Con. 2, Merrickville P.O., Ontario. ?Is well placed and in a comfortable home.

Report of Mr. R. Mcpherson, Government Immigration Agent at Kingston.

Margaret Parle, aged 7. From Birkenhead Union. Placed with Peter Softie, Merrickville P.O., 2nd Con., of Montague Tp.?Untruthful at times, but improving, healthy child, says she is pleased with her home but does not appear happy. Think too much is expected, said to be slow, older child would probably be more suitable for Mrs. Softie."

The Parle children's mother, Mary Parle, arrived in Canada prior to 1889.

On September 21, 1889, at St. Pauls Roman Catholic Church, Kingston, Frontenac, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between Mary Parle, 38, widow, born in Ireland to Patrick Taylor and Margaret Kearney; and Morrise McCarthy, 41, widower, laborer, born in Ireland to Bath Alen McCarthy and Mary Murray.

Her mother, Mary Parle died at the age of 54 on January 17, 1906, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

About 1910, the Parle childrens father, John Parle, father arrived in Canada. He died on May 20, 1920. Margaret Ziegler, who resided at 152 Lower Bagot Street, was the informant.
