Notes In 1905, Lilian Thring, 13, arrived at Quebec, Canada, along with a group of 29 children from Miss Macpherson's Home of Industry, London, England, en route to Mr. Merry's Boys Home, Stratford, Ontario. (Lilian's other siblings immigrated as follows: Percy, Tunsian, 1909; Edith Thring, Tunsian, 1909; and George Thring, Tunsian, 1908.)
Sometime before 1915, Lilian Thring married Neil McKinnon. She was living in Manitoba in 1915, as she is claimed as Mrs. Neil McKinnon as the next of kin for her brother, Percy Thring's, first Attestation for enlistment to the Canadian Armed Forces. Within that year, she and Neil McKinnon moved to Fillmore, Saskatchewan, Canada as she was once again claimed by Percy as next of kin, as well being claimed as next of kin by her other brother, George, on his Attestation for enlistment in 1916.
