NotesSamuel George Winterbottom was placed on the farm of Robert Howlett in Delaware, Ontario. His brother Alfred was placed on a nearby farm with Joseph Howlett, half-brother to Robert.

I have copies of the Barnardos file for Samuel George, but unfortunately they did not have a picture. He died at age 17 from complications of appendicitis and was buried in Delaware in the same cemetery where the Howletts were buried. I have seen the grave markers.
