NotesIn 1888, Isabelle Carruthers, 5 (along with her sister, Elizabeth D. Carruthers, 6) arrived at Quebec, Canada, along with a group of 77 Birt children en route to Knowlton, Quebec, Canada.

Isabelle was adopted by the Geoghan family in Pointe au Chene, Quebec, Canada. Eventually she joined her sister Elizabeth, training at the Montreal Children's Memorial Hospital and graduated. Elizabeth and Isabella kept in touch with one another throughout their lives, but they lost touch with their mother and other sisters.

Isabelle Carruthers married Charles Larner. They lived in St. Timothee, Quebec, Canada.

Isabelle Carruthers Larner died about 1965.
