NotesA birth registration was found for Theresa Dorothy Townsend: Year of Registration: 1901; Quarter of Registration: Apr-May-Jun; District: Birmingham (1837-1924); County: Warwickshire; Volume: 6d; Page: 76. Parents: Harry Toone Townsend and Florence Annie King, married 1900, Warwick, Warwickshire, England. (Teresa was a twin sister to Marguerite Townsend.)

A death registration was found for Florence Annie Townsend: Year of Registration: 1908; Quarter of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar; Age at Death: 36; District: Birmingham (1837-1924); County: Warwickshire; Volume: 6d; Page: 162. Family stories say that the only sons born to the family already consisting of six daughters, were twins, who died at childbirth, along with their Mother and they were buried in the coffin with her, one in each arm.

In 1910, Teresa Townsend, 9 (along with sisters, Edith E M Townsend, 10; and Marguerite M. Townsend, 9), arrived at Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, in a group of 154 Middlemore children.

Harry Toone Townsend remarried Rebecca Riley on May 10, 1913, at St. Pauls Church, Aston, Warwickshire, England. They had at least two more children: Sarah Anne Ivy (born January 9, 1914); and Harry Toone (born March 13, 1915), both in Aston, Warwickshire, England.
